Eggplant hand warmers

This is my first original crochet pattern that I feel brave enough to share. If you decide to make them I would love to see photos. It is available on Ravelry too. Any comments appreciated as I am really new at this creating patterns thing.

Eggplant hand warmers Author: haikugirloz (www.haikugirloz.com)

Level: Beginner Materials 4mm hook, Yarn (1 skeins = 191.4 yards or 175.0m; one 50g, 8ply ball of wool makes both handwarmers )

Gauge – not sure about gauge.

Size – small /medium adult woman

Notes: Move stitch marker at the beginning of each row. First part of pattern worked in a spiral no joining of rows until row 5. From rows 12-15 work in a spiral again. The

Pattern Abbreviations: Tbl (Through back loop only) ch: chain sc : single crochet dc: double crochet sl st: slip stitch fsc - foundation single crochet Left hand warmer fsc 30. Join with sl st into top loops of first st.  Watch that you don’t twist the chain.

Row 1: Sc tbl of first stitch and place a stitch marker, sc tbl to the end of the row (30 sts) Row 2-4 Sc tbl around (30 sts) You can add more rows here if you like to make the cuff a bit wider.

Row 5 Ch 3, dc around and join with sl st to top of beginning ch2

Row 6-10 Ch 3, dc around and join with sl st to top of beginning ch2

Row 11 Ch 3, skip 7 dc, sc tbl around Row 12-15 sc tbl around (You can add more rows here to make the cover your hands a bit more).

Cut yarn and weave in ends

Right Hand warmer fsc 30. Join with sl st into top loops of first st.  Watch that you don’t twist the chain.

Row 1: Sc tbl of first stitch and place a stitch marker, sc tbl to the end of the row (30 sts)

Row 2-4 Sc tbl around (30 sts) If you increased the number of rows on the left hand don't forget to do the same on the right.

Row 5 Ch 3, dc around and join with sl st to top of beginning ch2

Row 6-10 Ch 3, dc around, and join with sl st to top of beginning ch2

Row 11 Ch 3, dc around, stop 7 dc before end of row, ch 3, leave 7dc unworked and join with sl st to top of beginning ch2

Row 12-15 sc tbl around (Again make longer by increasing the number of rows) Cut yarn and weave in ends Embellish with some bling if you want for example buttons.
