I have always liked glasses. I think they look kinda cool. One of my favourite glasses wearing people is David Tennant's Doctor Who.
I had my eyes tested yesterday and discovered that I need reading glasses. I am excited and self-conscious about the transition. My new glasses are a lot like the ones David is wearing in this picture. I am not sure what brand they areMine are Paul Frank Cranberry Pinkerton eyeglasses.
Indeed if you want to dress up like Doctor Who for any reason here is a guide. You can find out more about Doctor #11 and costume here.
I am officially joining the ranks of glasses-wearing-hipster-librarians.

Now that the season is nearly over for us in Australia it us time for me to reflect on the new Doctor. I like Matt Smith and Karen Gillan I believe it's a good partnership. However, I still miss David Tennan and Billie Piper. The UrST (unresolved sexual tension) between Rose and the Doctor was there for all to see. It added to the drama and frisson on screen. I was so glad that she got her own Doctor in the end.
My favorite eps are still Blink and Girl in the Fireplace. Doctor Who #11 is growing on me but my heart still belongs to #10.In a side trip into my favourite comic shop I spotted this. I adore Lost Boys it started my love affair with hot vampires. I thought Keifer Sutherland was particularly good as the evil David.
I only own two action figures: librarian action figures no less both the original and deluxe with shushing action (Nancy Pearl). They are both still in their box. It's a running joke that maybe they will be worth something one day. They also live in my office at work and have started many a conversation.
Over the last couple of years I have crocheted a number of Dr Who and Buffy dolls. If I pass a Minatour I often pop in and lust after Dr Who merchandise. I was given a fantastic Tardis USB hub for my birthday and a have a sonic screwdriver. I would really like a life-size David Tennant (Dr Who #10), John Simm (Master), Buffy or Spike but I really have nowhere to put them.
When I was a child I only ever owned one Barbie. A Christmas present when I was eight. She was the basic Malibu Barbie, my Nana used to make clothes for her. I have only ever formed close relationships with three dolls/teddy in my life. Malibu Barbie, Albert (a baby boy doll), Ted a knitted teddy bear. None of them survived childhood. Yet I have kept quite a few of my childrens toys. My dog Boo is fond of adopting them. I have rescued many from her.
Do you own any action figures?
