Run in the burbs

We are madly catching up with people before we head overseas for a month. Last night we spent a lovely evening in Greensborough with Ben's parents.

Judy gave me a wonderful travelog from Smiggle and a lovely bracelet with a stone made from heather picked up in her recent trip to Scotland.

I was able to finish a pair of handwarmers for Judy in her favourite colours. the yarn was made by @madradish (Molly) in exchange for a set of angry birds. It was lovely to crochet with.

In the morning I ran along the Plenty River and up some very steep hills.

I love weekends. Only 6 days to go and I am off to the States.

Creative barter - handwarmers

Photo

I have a few creative barter projects on the go: handwarmers and eyephone cosies.

I have also started my Christmas craft making and have orders for a pony and three dolls. So every spare moment I will be crafting. Making my morning commutes precious crafting time.

I am planning to get back to riding to work next week. Now that we are nearly in double digits in the morning. I like it to be over 10 degrees for outside exercise.

See you on the bike paths.

I love a frock

I absolutely love a frock.  My friend and colleague who is the queen of opp shops just popped in her with her latest acquisition - three beautiful vintage patterns. I am going to have a go at making a couple of frocks in the summer including one these. Sewing is not my forte but it should be fun.

Today I also sold my first pair of hand warmers. They are a variation on this pair but with lime green edging. I dropped them off to the buyer (my hairdresser's best friend) and she was very happy, as unbeknownst to me her favourite colour is green! Yay.
