I have a dilemma of the library kind. Our library is very small and it is very difficult to keep quiet. We have zoned it:

1. level 1 - collaborative zone
2. level 2 - quiet zone

However, even with ample signage which is largely ignored. The zones are not respected. At our main campus like UTS they have enclosed the silent areas and the students seem to self-monitor and behave appropriately (mostly). It is a little more difficult here. 

I am thinking of something like: Quiet Zone on the landing between the floors and outside the lift. I don't want to include a long list of don'ts anywhere. 

Any suggestions welcome.
