I like to write short, short fiction. A genre with many different names including: flash and micro fiction. A couple of years ago I read an article about the
Six Sentences blog in The Age. I submitted my first
story in October 2008 and it was published. I also joined the
6S Social Network a wonderful supportive environment for writers of flash. Both the blog and network were started by
Rob McEvily. The blog regularly holds writing competitions and last year I made it into print in
6S Vol 2. This year I had more stories published in
6S Vol 3 and a new book available tomorrow on Amazon called
6S: The Green Bike Stories (every story is called The Green Bike). I would encourage anyone who loves to write and is interested flash to consider submitting stories to the blog. The buzz of seeing your stories in print or on the blog is
indescribable (well wonderful actually). You too can say it in 6!
